| WELCOME BACK TO THE OFFICIAL BARMY ARMY WEBSITE!! The Barmy Army continued their good form to post a fourth victory in as many games as they romped past Alcotops at the bitterly cold Gurkha Inn. Legend finally found some form and reached two milestones of his Barmy Army Career. As part of the Barmy Army's formidable bottom four, Legend racked up his 50th Top Score, aided by his 200th Stick-Up. Legend is the second player to reach the 200 Stick-Up Club, with Chipper the first and Chico just 3 Stick-Ups away from being the third. Legend is also now the 3rd member of the 50 Top Scores Club, with Chico leading the way on 60 and Chipper in second on 54. | | RECENT GAMES... 17 Dec - Alcotops (A) Won by 16 11 Dec - Chimps (H) Won by 31 4 Dec - Spares (A) Won by 21 27 Nov - Muckspreaders (H) Won by 40 20 Nov - Vic Reeves (A) Lost by 22 13th Nov - Hartstoppers (H) Lost by 19 8th Nov - Woodmen (H) Lost by 13 30th Oct - Villains (A) Lost by 44 23rd Oct - Funseekers (H) Won by 43 16th Oct - Hotshots (H) Won by 4 8th Oct - Yokels (A) Won by 39 24th Sep - Hotshots (H) Lost by 2 |
| Legend's Top Score of 62 was not enough to see off the challenge of Chipper & Chico for the Pairs' Highest Score on the night. Legend & Flukey were second placed with 113, but the | VISIT THE OFFICIAL DSL WEBSITE... |
| That's enough about Chipper & Chico (who were brilliant again). Now on to Hunty's fall from Grace. Last week Hunty was joint top scorer but this week returned to reality with a £1.50 fine bang! Hunty was so bad that even the returning Lurchio beat him. Kebber was the co-joint top scorer last week and also failed to fire despite scoring his 11th Stick-Up of the season. Completing the top four line-up was Matt the Tw@t who, not for the first time in his lucky Barmy Army Career, pulled himself out of the brown stuff with a last hand Stick-Up. Even with Tw@t's lucky last gasp attempts, the top half were once again outplayed by the best bottom four in the league, despite Flukey's lackluster 51. Flukey was said to be fuming with himself after the game, having paid 60p in fine's for only the second time this season (that's of course ignoring the time he got an oXo and paid £4.00 in fines at the Trinity Club). NEXT GAME FRIDAY 8th JANUARY: The Barmy Army have signed off from 2009 with four wins on the bounce and will start the new year with the really long journey to Weymouth (let's hope we're all on time, unlike at the Colliton Club). The Lugger Inn @ Chickerell is the Venue for the next round of the plate against fishermen. In the meantime, the two current leaders in the averages will represent the Barmy Army in the Singles Competition on Thursday 7th. Flukey will be looking to retain his title and Chipper be hoping to not be knocked out by a woman. | VIEW LAST WEEK'S WRITE UP... |

Rumours are out that the self obsessed " Best pair in the league" known as chico and chipper have arranged to have Mattel action figures made of themselves to cater for the growing demand from their teenage fans!! both are said to come with a number of accesories, chicos include a pathetic small note pad and abbacus, whilst chippers includes a large portion of chips and a t-shirt emblazened with the words " I was Robbed! ". final designs will go into production once manufacturers can source enough plastic to create realistic features like chicos ears and chippers belly.
