| WELCOME BACK TO THE OFFICIAL BARMY ARMY WEBSITE!! The Barmy Army's abysmal season continued at the Vic on Friday night, against long standing rivals Vic Reeves, who came through as victors with a margin of 22 pins. The difference yet again was a distinct lack of stick-ups for the Army, whilst the opposition were able to notch up regular frames on the scoreboard. The Barmy Armys sole stick-up of the night, came from Flukey, who only advanced his score by 3 pins. The Barmy Army have only scored 6 stick-ups in the last 4 games, all of which have been defeats. Flukey's stick-up handed him the top score (56), with only Chipper (51) & Tw@t (53) managing a 50+ score. Flukey has now managed 4 top scores, with Tw@t behind him on 3 and then Chico on 2. | This week's bottom scorer was Chico (43) who is currently playing the worst skittles of his career. You may have noticed that Chico has not written a review for the past two weeks. This is due to a distinct lack of enthusiasm when thinking about the Barmy Army's awful displays, and not least his own consistently low scores this season. Flukey has offered to write the Army's weekly reports, however Chico is committed to ensuring that an unbiased reflection of the Barmy Army's games and statistics are portrayed on this website. | Also struggling to reach their usual high standard of skittles at the moment is Chipper. But despite his below par performances, Chipper remains at the top of the averages. You would also think then, that with both Chico & Chipper struggling they would be falling down the pair averages like a lead balloon. However, by taking a look at the Pairs Averages you will see that not only do the best pair in the league(TM) have the highest Pairs average of 109, they also have the highest score of the season so far with 131 and most importantly they also have the highest 15-a-pair average of 69.05%! Proof, if ever needed that no matter how badly Chipper &/or Chico play, they are always better than the rest. Fact. | VIEW LAST WEEK'S WRITE UP...  |
In other news, this week also heralded the return to civilisation (albeit temporarily) of Alfie. The flamin' galah is heading back on the next convict boat in a few months, but took a break from his current occupation (German porn star) to come and support the Barmy Army. Unfortunately his words of wisdom fell on deaf ears, however after the game Alfie rolled up his sleeves and instantly pissed off the current players by smacking down a flopper with his first ball since leaving the Barmy Army for foreign shores. We are pleased to be able to bring a sneak preview of Alfie's new movie... For those that missed it, view last week's write up... 2010 TOUR / CHICO's STAG UPDATE... Rumours are out that the self obsessed " Best pair in the league" known as chico and chipper have arranged to have Mattel action figures made of themselves to cater for the growing demand from their teenage fans!! both are said to come with a number of accesories, chicos include a pathetic small note pad and abbacus, whilst chippers includes a large portion of chips and a t-shirt emblazened with the words " I was Robbed! ". final designs will go into production once manufacturers can source enough plastic to create realistic features like chicos ears and chippers belly.
